Volunteer
There are many great ways to make a difference in our students’ lives by contributing your time and talents. You can get involved at DJAES by:
- Participating in your child’s classroom
- Volunteering at student and/or family events
- Joining a PTA Committee to help and organize events
As you consider the options, think about your expertise, skills, and hobbies, and if you have relationships with businesses or outside vendors that could be helpful. Also consider your availability and level of commitment. Even one hour of help makes light work for all!
If you want to volunteer on campus during school hours, please visit the CUSD volunteer website to determine which distinction of volunteer you fall into and complete the necessary forms, submissions, and if required, fingerprint scanning and mandated reporter training. Guidance can be found here. After your volunteer paperwork has been approved, you are ready to volunteer for opportunities on campus!
One of our largest fundraisers of the year, Boo Bash, requires many volunteers to function smoothly. We rely on parents and teachers to help manage booths and make this event successful.
